JOHOR BARU – Johor Perikatan Nasional (PN) chief Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal today lashed out at the coalition’s critics, asking why the opposition bloc is consistently being linked to allegations of orchestrating plans to topple the federal government.

The bloc, he insisted, has moved on and accepted the rakyat’s decision.

The former Johor menteri besar said that it is perplexing as to why PN’s leaders are constantly being bandied about by their political foes.

“(Now) we are being linked with the ‘London Move’, as if (someone) is afraid of their own shadow and trying to mask the failed ‘Langkah Kinabalu’,” the Bukit Kepong assemblyman said in a statement.

Sahruddin also sought to know what the unity government led by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had achieved so far after forming the government 50 days ago.

Taking Anwar to task on his failure to lower petrol prices, Sahruddin also questioned whether the government is serious in implementing Pakatan Harapan’s election pledge, including addressing the rising cost of living and disruption in the supply chain.

Further, Sahruddin took a jibe at Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli for his supposed failure to formulate a plan to help increase the people’s income.

He also raised an issue with whether the delay in several megaprojects is tied to the need to serve the government’s cronies. – The Vibes, January 17, 2023
