POLICE arrested a doctor for allegedly molesting a teenage patient at the Changkat Melintang Hospital on Tuesday, Bernama reported.

Perak Tengah district police chief Hafezul Helmi Hamzah said the alleged incident took place at the emergency ward of the hospital.

“The 15-year-old victim claimed that she was sexually harassed by a man, believed to be a doctor, while seeking treatment at the emergency ward of the Changkat Melintang Hospital,” he said in a statement.

Hafezul Helmi said following the report, a team of police officers arrested the man, who was to be remanded for further investigation.

He added that the victim was in stable condition and that the case was being investigated under Section 14 (a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. – June 7, 2024.
